Brooklyn-based contemporary painter David Jon Kassan has received accolades for his life-size realist portraits that combine figurative subjects with abstract backgrounds, or "tromp l'oeil texture studies." We were mesmerized by his work combining classic technique and a very modern medium—a familiar philosophy for us here at DaVinci. And while David travels the globe teaching sold-out classes, it's Vinci that hosted this new Renaissance man in July.
