Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG): The highest level of Italian government classification that regulates the growing of vines, production of wine and labeling of bottles of wines guaranteed of 'particular reputation and worth.' The entire Chianti region is classified DOCG.
Chianti DOCG: Grapes sourced entirely from within the Chianti region. Chianti must be a minimum of 75% Sangiovese.
The Da Vinci Chianti is deep crimson in color with aromas of cherries and red fruit balanced by soft, round tannins.
